Slot Reviews Hub is a WordPress site with our plugin installed and connected. This is its page as visitors see it: one game picked for the week and a grid of six more, each with the credit link under it. It is a real WordPress, running right in your browser; how the partner sets it up is step 4, Connect the site.

Any other site, with the iframe code

Free Slots Corner is a site without WordPress. Its owner found three games in the DemoSlot account, copied a ready code for each and pasted it into the page: a frame with the game, and the credit link under it. Nothing is installed.

Apply

A site owner opens Become a partner, gives the addresses of the site (up to three), the country and whether it runs on WordPress. The form checks every field as it is filled in, in each of the site's six languages.

Approval and key

The application waits on the Partners screen of our admin, with its sites, country and a warning when another partner shares the owner or a site. Approve creates the partner's account and emails the key: the partner's password to the catalogue, valid only on the partner's own sites. Reject asks first, in the card.

Partner account

The partner signs in to demoslot.com and opens the DemoSlot Embed tab of the account. New partners get four setup steps. Once the first play is counted, the tab opens on the statistics: the month's plays, plays per day, the top games and countries, and a search that gives the code of any game. From SlotsLaunch helps sites that used SlotsLaunch, a similar service, to move their games over.

Connect the site

A WordPress site installs the DemoSlot Embed plugin, pastes the key and adds games with the Demo Game and Game Grid blocks or with shortcodes. The plugin keeps its own copy of the game list and the pictures on the partner's site, so its pages stay fast, and updates it every day. A site moving from SlotsLaunch gets a tool that swaps the old games for DemoSlot ones. Any other site copies a ready code of a game from the account, as Free Slots Corner did.

Connect one yourself: below is a fresh WordPress with the plugin installed and no key yet. Start it, paste the key into API key and press Save changes. The plugin checks the key with DemoSlot and loads the games. Editor shows how the games are added to a page: with shortcodes, short lines such as [demoslot_game game="starburst"] that WordPress turns into the player. Page shows the result.

A second, separate WordPress: the plugin is installed, the key is not. It takes about half a minute and about 30 MB to start.

Try it: paste the key and save; the settings show the key accepted and the games loaded. In Editor, change starburst to mental and press Save, then open Page. A wrong key is refused, as DemoSlot refuses it.

First play

What happens when a visitor of a partner's page meets a game. Both example sites of The result work this way.

Running the network

Our admin opens on an overview of the network. Every screen begins with what waits for a decision on it: applications, logos to review, studios still in test, failed imports. Studios are switched off, to test partners only, or on for everyone; games are matched with our slot pages; the daily update reads the studios' sites.

For developers

The plugin reads the game list through an API, and so can any developer of a partner site: a fixed address that answers with data instead of a page. With the partner's key it gives all the games, one game, the studios, and the games changed since a date. It answers up to 60 requests a minute per key. This is the answer for one game:

Without any code at all, WordPress embeds a game from its address: pasting the address of a game page of demoslot.com into a post shows the game with its credit link, even without the plugin. That is oEmbed, a standard WordPress already supports.
